Hypnotherapy
On-Line and In-Person in NYC
Ericksonian Hypnosis, based on the work of Dr. Milton H. Erickson, utilizes cooperation between therapist and client to empower the client in finding a safe place for optimal problem solving, accessing and activating our inner resources.
The hypnotherapist creates a flow and a deepening connection that develops trance, allowing a letting go of the conscious mind that has been trying so hard to figure out what to do and an opening up trusting the unconscious mind to do the work.
We follow the premise that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and our role as the hypnotherapist is to offer suggestions and maintain a flexible structure to guide our clients to at therapeutic solution. The importance of the experiential quality makes this hypnotic technique unique with each client because we do not use a cookie cutter script to fit all. Instead we learn about each client and discover their own experiential language so we can assist in their healing.

Within the initial session, we do an interview as well as begin the process of hypnosis. For some clients discovering the subtleties of communicating with their unconscious is often the door they needed to unlock their creativity, appreciate their symptoms, find the solutions and heal their past wounds.

Many people want hypnotherapy to be a magic pill that will snap you out of your problem or put you in an ideal state. Hypnotherapy is not magic, just an amazingly effective way to facilitate healing and wholeness, cultivating a deep connection with your unconscious, accessing inner resources and finding dynamic balance and harmony.
