I am so glad you have reconnected to what is most important to you about NLP, to find understanding, acceptance and empathy. Warm regards.

Dear Gene;<br

Now, that I take a step back and observe my experience I can say that by learning the technology of NLP, I have discovered a new way of thinking and bringing into my conscious awareness the processes that were already occurring.By utilizing NLP I have learned not only to understand reality constructs of others but to accept them and to challenge presuppositions with more acceptance and empathy.Gene

Hello Professor Hott :),

Your article has reminded me of what I have initially experienced when I discovered NLP; robot like and too much technical things to focus on at the same time. Your techniques will make anyone an ace in memorizing and remembering names.

These are great techniques. I teach K-8 but think the Middle School children would really benefit from this. We just barely touch on using a person's first name to address them, especially when in a conflict.
I am going to try handing each person a name card, not their own, attached it to their forehead and walk around the room asking questions trying to find the person that name card belongs to. Once they have connected then tell the other person one thing about yourself then have them introduced each other.
Wish me luck!
Thanks for the great information,
